PCAARRD, WESVAARRDEC FIESTA 2019 on April 8-10 at CAPSU

THE Western Visayas Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESVAARRDEC) will conduct its DOST PCAARRD – WESVAARRDEC FIESTA 2019 (Farms and Industry Encounters through the S & T Agenda) with the theme “Iririmaw sa Pagtukib kag Pag –Uswag” (Convergence in Research and Development) on April 8 – 10, 2019 at Capiz State University, Roxas City, Capiz.

This 3 – day event will highlight the collective and individual R&D innovations on the banner commodities, Darag Native Chicken, Mango, Muscovado Sugar and Bamboo, and in the Aquatic sector, green mussels will be featured through technology transfer and commercialization. Also, this event includes exhibits and bazaar, techno fora and technology pitching and commodity – based contests.

With this, the Consortium is glad to invite participants to join the following contests:

a.) Cooking Contest (Students’ Category) – 5 Slots left; b.) Cooking Contest (Chef’s Category) – 9 Slots left; c.) Poster Making Contest– 5 slots left; d.) Darag Quiz Contest

The Cooking Contest (Student’s category), Poster Making and Darag Quiz Contest are open to all College, Junior High School and Senior High School students. While the Cooking Contest (Chef’s Category) is open to all chefs or culinary enthusiasts.

Prizes are as follows: Cooking Contest (Students’ Category), Best Main Dish – PhP5,000.00

Best Side Dish – PhP 2,500.00, Best Dessert – PhP2, 500.00

Cooking Contest (Chef’s Category) – 9 Slots left; First Place Winner– PhP5, 000.00; Second Place Winner – PhP3,000.00; Third Place Winner – Php2, 000.00

Poster Making Contest: First Place Winner – PhP3, 000.00; Second Place Winner – PhP2, 000.00; Third Place Winner – PhP1, 000.00

Darag Quiz Contest: Champion – PhP2, 500.00; 1st Runner up – PhP1, 500.00; 2nd Runner up – PhP1, 000.00

The Contests will be held at Dadivas Gymnasium, Capiz State University, Roxas City, Capiz on April 9, 2019 from 9:00AM till 12:00NN.

This is of FREE REGISTRATION with FREE Snacks and Lunch within the said date. Travelling expenses and accommodation will be shouldered by the participants or by the school/institution which the participants are affiliated to.
